Due to the increased interest and wider participation, the closing date
for submissions for a new splash screen for the upcoming Openoffice.org
2.0 release has been extended.

The new closing date for splashscreen submissions is Friday 10 December,
1200 UTC.

The new splashscreen is to be ready for integration into the first
release candidate (RC1) to be available in January 2005.

Submissions are being collected in issue 36491, see:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=36491
Please continue to attach your submissions to this issue. Do not send
them to any email discussion list.

Note: The size has not been specified and artists participating in the
Art Project (http://marketing.openoffice.org/art/) have discussed on the
[art] list
(http://marketing.openoffice.org/servlets/SummarizeList?listName=art)
various sizes and some are following previous specifications. See the
attachments associated with issue 36491 for existing submissions and
example sizes.

Those artists that have submitted previous designs, please indicate
which ones that you wish to include for voting by commenting on the
issue used to collect the splash screens or sending a message to
art на marketing.openoffice.org.

Closing date for submission is: Friday 10 December, 1200 UTC.

Notification of when voting is open for community members will be sent
after the closing date for submissions. In the meantime, we look forward
to further submissions of a new splashscreen.
